Each capsule runs one 15-day active cycle, then continues under protection until it depletes. Most households replace it roughly every few months — the exact timing depends on water hardness and usage.

Most installs take about 20 minutes with standard fittings and basic tools. If your line has unusual fittings or you're not comfortable working on your main supply line, we'd recommend a plumber.

Test once right before installing (day 0) for a baseline, then again around day 15 once the protection stage is active. That gives you a real before-and-after comparison.

Only if the capsule is mounted somewhere exposed to direct sunlight, like an outdoor line. Indoor installs generally don't need it.

The Cerablock capsule fits standard ¾″ to 1″ NPT supply lines. Check your main line's fitting size before ordering.
